Freedom of Information (FOI) places a duty on public bodies to adopt and maintain
publication schemes. Such schemes must set out:
- the classes of information
that public body publishes,
- the manner in which the information is published, and
- details of any charges
Publication does not refer
solely to printed material and has been interpreted as broadly as possible to include electronic documents,
information included on the website, minutes of meetings, reports, leaflets and material available for
inspection.
